Schedule:

1. Read Day: The students will listen to the read-aloud by following along in the book. The class will hear the story and discuss the main events. The students will summarize the main points in the section read to place in their notebooks. They will be responsible to answer the comprehension questions. These can be handed in on paper, or typed on their laptop and e-mailed. These question must be answered in complete sentences.

2. Work Day: The students will be given the opportunity to work on the activity created for each section.

3. Discussion Day: The class will discuss the comprehension questions, and present their activities to the other students. The class will discuss the novel before moving on to a new section.
