Ready, Set, Explore!

You are finally ready to complete the Top Secret Mission! You need to plan an expedition to explore your ecosystem further to discover new species within the ecosystems.

 

Think creatively to answer these questions and submit them to Amy or Amanda.

• What can you do to make sure that your expedition does not disturb ocean life?
• What tools will you use to complete the mission (discover the new species)?
• What tools will you use to document and prove that you discovered a new species?
• What can you do to make sure that you do not do any damage to the ecosystem?

 

 

After submitting your questions, it is time to design your species!

• What are the physical characteristics of the creature (Remember - it has to be able to survive in your ecosystem)?
• What does the creature look like?
• What is unique about the creature?
• What does the creature eat?
• What eats the creature?
• How does the creature survive?
• As the disoverer, what will you name the creature?

 

***Answer the questions and have them approved by Amanda or Amy. Then create a sketch of the creature***

 

 

 

Finally, you need to carry out your expedition. You could do this by:

• Creating a Flash to show the expedition (the process of discovering the creature within the ecosystem)
• Creating an iMovie slideshow to show the expedition
• Creating a comic book to show the expedition
• Maybe you have your own idea

 

***Come up with a plan and have it approved by Amanda or Amy before you begin***

 

 

 

Your expedition should include information about your ecosystem, the ocean life within your ecosystem, and the information that you researched above.
