What are the rules?
1. Use an apostrophe to show possession of something.
That is Steven's bike.
2. Use an apostrophe when showing the possessive form of a singular noun.
The child's father went to work.
3.Use the apostrophe when using a contraction.
Please don't do that.
4. Use an apostrophe when showing the plural form of letters and numbers.
Make sure you dot all your j ' s in your sentence.
5. Use an apostrophe after the s when a word is plural and possessive.
The Riggs' house was down that street.
