Quarterly math reports will be broken into two parts: key concepts and percentage grades.
- Key Concepts - For each concept covered during the quarter, students will be given a grade of advanced, proficient, basic, or developing.
- Advanced: Accurately completes all or nearly all problems. Shows mastery of concept.
- Proficient: Accurately completes most problems. Shows good understanding of concept.
- Basic: Accurately completes half of the problems. Shows inconsistent understanding of concept.
- Developing: Accurately completes few, if any, problems. Shows little understanding of concept.
- (Note - any concepts that receive a "Basic" or "Developing" will result in a review/remediation packet that students will be required to complete in addition to other homework.)
- Percentage Grade - Homework/notebook average, quiz average, and test average will each be given a percentage. These will then be averaged together for the quarterly grade. Each category holds a different weight as follows:
- Homework/Notebook: 10%
- Quizzes: 15%
- Tests: 75%
- Letter Grades will be assigned as follows:
- A (90 - 100%)
- B (80 - 89%)
- C (70 - 79%)
- D (60 - 69%)
