Students are required to keep a daily math notebook (notebooks will be provided by Amanda). Notes should reflect the key concepts covered each day, as well as examples showing how to properly solve the math problems.

Notebooks will be collected every Friday. Notes from each day will be assigned one of the following grades:

• √+ (Notes are neat, organized, and capture the key concepts.)
• √ (Notes are legible and capture most of the key concepts.)
• √- (Student does not take notes OR notes are not legible OR most key concepts are missing.)

Each notebook entry will count as a homework grade. These will be averaged and factored into the quarterly math grade. The following point values will be assigned to each notebook entry:

• √+ (4 points)
• √ (2 points)
• √- (0 points)
