About the story |
Charles Harrisong is an 11-year-old living in Normal, Illinois who feels he and his family are as far from normal as a family can get. When very mean spirited school group defaces his sister's campaign posters, the family immediately leaves town and moves onto a decrepit houseboat. During the clean-up and repair Charles examines himself and his family in a new light. |
My opinion |
While Charles is doing his examining, the reader gets involved in some exploration of their own. A well told story that everyone should read. |
