About the story |
Philip, a high school freshman puts all of his efforts into his running. This means he isn't putting enough effort into his English class, which earns him a D and keeps him off the track team. While listening to morning announcements in homeroom (his English teacher is now his homeroom teacher) he begins to hum the national anthem disregarding the silent rule. His humming gets him sent to the asst. principals office twice, which gets him suspended for 2 days. The story gets spread around town and even makes the national news. What version of the story is everyone hearing and which version is the truth? |
My opinion |
This is a really great example of how each side of a story has a different interpretaion and only hearing one side can lead to chaos. |
