Lyra meets Will a boy from another world. They work together to look for Will's missing father. During their journey Will becomes the protector of the subtle knife, which only he can use to cut through to other worlds. They become separated when Lyra's mother captures her. Will refuses to continue his journey until he finds Lyra. |
