STOP THE PRESSES

Objective

By the end of this project students will be able to identify the - 5 W's and the H - in news articles, create columns based on individual interests, write editorials, develop simple sentences into compound and complex sentences and enhance their understanding of the writing process. Students will use available technology to produce an online classroom publication.

 

Requirements

Each columnist is responsible for the production of:

A. 2 columns (articles) covering one area of their expertise, each column should
contain the following
                          - overall column title
                          - individual column subtitles
                          - picture, film clip or graphic for each column
B. 1 comparing and contrasting editorial
                           column title
C. 1 problem and solution editorial
                           column title
D. 2 publication pages
                           column layout
                           linked to personal website
***Correct grammar, spelling and sentence structure
