Monday: Pick 5 words from this week's list. Use our 8 step process to study your words. Use the study sheet to record your work.

The 8 steps are to:

  1. write the word,
  2. say the word,
  3. break the word into prefix/root/suffix (or syllables),
  4. point to each letter and spell the word out loud,
  5. cover the word and spell out loud,
  6. uncover the word and check your spelling,
  7. cover the word and write the word,
  8. uncover the word and check your spelling.

Repeat as needed.

Tuesday - Use the 'Thesaurus' tool in Microsoft Word to help you to find a synonym and the part of speech for each of the vocabulary words you chose. Write the synonym and part of speech on your vocabulary/spelling study sheet.
Wednesday - Use each word in a grammatically correct sentence that shows that you understand the meaning of the word.
Thursday - Turn in your work and practice the words on our Mrs. Frisby Study Stack page.
