Challenge:

Create a persuasive PowerPoint presentation that clearly states your position, supports your position with evidence, follows a simple organization pattern, and addresses the concerns of people who do not agree with your position.

1. Go to Yahooligans, Encarta, or other appropriate search engine to locate more information on this topic.

2. Bookmark, print off, read, and highlight the sites.

3. Read through your research information and pull out the most important/interesting ideas. Organize your notes into at least 4 different categories. Make a heading for each category and create a bulleted list of main ideas for each topic.

4. Create a persuasive PowerPoint presentation that includes a title page, 4 pages with information about your 4 research areas, a concluding page, and a bibliography page.

5. Edit your presentation and add appropriate graphics and effects.

6. Prepare for your presentation. Be sure that you don't just read your PowerPoint slides to us. You should use your bullets to remind you of all the information you learned from your research.
