Guidelines

  1. Make a folder in your desktop called _____ (fill in the name of your 'mistake').
  2. Download this form to help you to organize your research information. Save it in your folder that you just made.
  3. Do a search on Google to learn about your invention.
  4. Print off each website that you find and highlight important facts.
  5. Fill in the facts on your research form.
  6. When you are done researching, write up a draft of the information that you will be using on your poster. Be sure to include all of the written elements that are listed below in the 'Written Elements' list.
  7. Submit your draft for editing.
  8. Make a poster that follows this format.

Application:

Make a Fireworks canvas that is: 24 inches high by 18 inches wide, with a resolution of 72.

Graphic Design Elements:

Use images and a background colors that are appropriate for your topic. Try to find a photo of your inventor, photos of the invention, the patent application, etc.

Use appropriate font size, style to highlight important information such as the title, headings, labels for photos, etc.

This paragraph should make us interested in your topic by asking a question that is related to your invention, then telling some facts, and then concluding with a sentence that makes us want to know more.

This paragraph should tell us all about your invention

Paragraph 4: Conclusion

Wrap up your topic by telling what you think are the most important things for us to have learned about your person's invention.

Bibliography

A list of where you found your facts and images. (Google is not something to be listed in your bibliography.)
