Directions for making a "Me Box."
Look around your house and find things that are important to you (for example a car from your car collection, a shell from your vacation to the beach, a photograph of a family member or friend). You can also find objects that represent things you like to do (for example a small soccer ball to represent your love of soccer, photographs of your pets, etc...).
- Select 4 or 5 of these things and put them in a box or bag.
- Decorate the box or bag in a way that reflects your interests and/or personality.
- Prepare a presentation about your "Me Box." During your presentation you should:
- introduce yourself
- show us the 4 - 5 items is that you brought in
- explain why you chose each item
- be ready to answer questions about your Me Box
Bring your unique "Me Box" into school on your scheduled presentation day:
September 8: 6th Graders
September 10: 5th Graders
After you bring your "Me Box" home, put it in a special place and keep adding things to it during the years to come. You'll end up with your very own treasure chest!
