After reading through all of the topics, choose one and create an educational medical poster on the topic that could be hung in your pediatrician's office.

Your poster is meant to be written in layman's language. That means your writing should be at a fifth/sixth grade level. Be sure to use colors, characters, formatting, etc. that will appeal to youngsters. Use copyright free images. Be sure that your poster:

  • Defines what medial terms go with the slang words kids use when talking about the topic.
  • Lists/explains the symptoms.
  • Tells about the causes.
  • Lists/explains treatment options (medicine, therapy, alternative).
  • Describes preventative health care measures.
  • Includes a medical diagram of the major body system (healthy view) related to your topic.
  • Includes medical 'fun facts' that will capture your audience's attention.
