Using iWeb to Make Web Pages

Use the following rubric to track your progress throughout the year. Your goal should be to master each of the 'Basic' and 'Proficient' skills as soon as you are able. Then move on to the 'Advanced' skills.

  • Open the application.
  • Choose a design theme.
  • Choose the kind of page you'd like to make (welcome, blog, etc.).
  • Replace placeholder text.
  • Replace placeholder image with one from your desktop.
  • Add the application to your dock.
  • Add photo from iPhoto library.
  • Move text boxes.
  • Delete template objects.
  • Move and resize images.
  • Add pages to your website.
  • Edit the navigation bar.
  • Add a text box.
  • Add a YouTube video (without links to other related videos).
  • Add an iMovie from your movie library.
  • Add an iSight photo to your page.
  • Publish your website via FTP.
  • Edit a design theme's color scheme, font style, etc.
  • Add a picture frame to a photo or slide show.
  • Use the alignment guide to place objects on your page.
  • Set up site publishing preferences.
  • Add a photo album (slide show.) to your page.
