Making a Keynote Presentation

Use the following rubric to track your progress throughout the year. Your goal should be to master each of the 'Basic' and 'Proficient' skills as soon as you are able. Then move on to the 'Advanced' skills.

  • Open a document.
  • Select a theme.

  • Edit the style, color, alignment, and font of text.

  • Edit a presentation and use the 'Save As' option to replace the older version of the presentation.
  • Add audio to your presentation.
  • Add video to your presentation.
  • Add shapes and text bubbles to your slides.
  • Edit shape color, transparency, alignment, and size.
  • Use instant alpha to delete backgrounds and colors.
  • Use shadows and reflections to edit text and images.
  • Use the mask tool to edit pictures.
  • Use magic move to animate images between slides.
  • Use advanced build options to animate objects on and off of a slide.
  • Add presenter notes to your slides and customize your presenter display options.
