 The Rule:

Write I before E
Except after C
Or when it sounds like an A
As in "neighbor" and "weigh"

Pick 5 -ie words and 5 -ei words to look up in a dictionary. Write the word, part of speech, and definition for your 10 words.

3. Sentences:

Put each of your -ie and -ei words into a grammatically correct sentence that shows that you understand the meaning of the word.

4. Spelling Test:

Use our spelling method to practice spelling your 10 words. Be ready for a test at the end of the week.

5. Turn in your work by Friday. Your packet should include your practice exercises, definitions, sentences, and spelling test.
