The Atlantic Ocean
The Atlantic Ocean is a very interesting ocean. It is the second largest ocean in the world. It is located between the two Americas, Europe and Africa. It covers 28% of our world's surface. The deepest point is named Puerto Rico Trench and it is about 28,374 feet down. There are many natural resources that include oil and gas fields, fish, marine mammals (seals and whales), sand and gravel aggregates, placer deposits, poly metallic nodules, and precious stones. There are two natural hazards, icebergs and hurricanes. Environmental issues include, endangered marine species. The Atlantic Ocean is very interesting.
