Alexander Formula
Having concluded the experiment, each
team must create a poster that highlights the many different
aspects of the experiment. The following information should
be included in the poster.
- Title
- Introduction-Explain what this experiment was all about. Also, explain the Alexander Formula. Make sure you state what the Alexander Formula is used for.
- List the independent and dependent variables.
- List at least three extraneous variables.
- Methodology
- Presentation of the raw
data.
- Presentation of the predicted
velocity of each team member.
- Presentation of the actual velocity
of each team member.
- Presentation of the error for each
team member (actual vs. predicted).
- Graph showing predicted vs.
actual.
- Discussion of outcome of experiment.
- Describe how close your predictions were to your actuals.
- Based on the above, discuss how well the formula predicts a person's actual velocity.
- Discuss any problems you had during the experiment.
- What would you do differently if you had to do the experiment again?
- Were there any extraneous variables that you did not control for but should have controlled for?
- Discuss how well the Alexander Formula predicts actual velocity.
- Is the Alexander Formula useful for predicting an animals velocity?
These posters must be of the highest
quality. Before assembling the final poster you must check
your rough layout with Mark.
