Preparing Your Results for Publication

In your final report, you will need to present your results in table and paragraph form. In the table you should present, at the least, the raw data and the mean for each group. This means that if you have a group that listened to music and then took a test and another group that did not listen to music and then took a test, you should present the mean of each group. In paragraph form, you should also restate the means, state the difference between the means, state the t-value, and state whether you have significant results. See example below.

Summary of Findings

The mean for the music group was 12. The mean for the no music group was 18. The difference between the music group and the non-music group was 6. With a significant t-value of -13.37 with a p-value of .05, we can accept our hypothesis as there seems to be a significant difference between the two groups.
