As you know, Med Tech is the medical technology branch of CLC. Over the last several years, we have worked closely with medical practitioners to explain new medical tools and procedures to the American public. MSF would like to work with us on two projects.
Project Cultural Awareness
- The most daunting challenge an MSF doctor or volunteer faces is that of understanding and working in a very different culture from their own. Project Cultural Awareness involves developing resources that can be used to educate and inform MSF doctors and volunteers about the country in which they will be working. These resources will focus on culture, politics, geography, health and dietary practices, labor, leisure, travel, and safety issues.

Project Medical Awareness
- In order to best serve the citizens of developing countries, MSF doctors have found that they must be able to clearly explain modern medical procedures and technology. MSF has asked Med Tech to develop educational pamphlets that explain a variety of medical procedures and technologies in easy to understand ways. These pamphlets will be translated into a variety of languages for distribution around the world.
