Unfortunately when you go into a cave, there are certain rules that you have to abide by. We are going to give you a head start and tell you these rules. If these rules are broken you can have up to a $200.00 fine or up to 10 years in jail! Below we are going to give you a list of rules, under that you will find a more detailed list. Never touch formations unless you are permitted to do so by a tour guide or owner of the cave Never take a formation out of a cave or purposely brake a formation Always pay attention to where you are going (you could get lost or get separated from your tour) Always have someone with you who has been in the cave before, or have reference to where you are. If you see a sleeping bat don't purposely wake it up or try to catch it. Just take a picture or leave it alone and calmly walk away. If you stand around the bat and hold a flashlight on it it will wake up, if this happens, stop holding your flashlight on it and walk away, or quickly take a picture and walk away
