Step 2: Establishing a Company Identity

You have been assigned to a team that will form your toy design company. The first step in establishing your company is to develop a mission statement, company name, and logo that will appeal to your customers. This is an important part of developing your company's identity.

Task 1

• Working individually, each member of the team should find one company and write down the name of the company, find a picture of the company's logo, and write out or copy the company's mission statement.
• Working as a team, assemble each team member's information into one simple slide show.
• Present to the class.

• What is a mission statment?
• How do you select a company name?
• What is the purpose of a logo?

 

Task 2

• Working as a team, create at least two company names, two compnay logos, and one mission statement. These should be presented to the class in a formal document.
