Board Meeting 12/22/98

Personnel
We would like to hire Wendy Snetzinger to run our art program. She will be compensated as per the proposal. The board reached consensus over hiring Wendy 4 hours a week to teach art.

Thomas L. Houston, Spanish teacher from the Bellefonte Area High School. Hire for two 45 minute sessions each week. Consensus has been reached and we will hire the Spanish teacher. We will continue to investigate making this more than once a week.

Student changes... Zhou will be leaving us along with one other student. We will be adding two new students.

Bus Duty
Can we allow Angie to not greet the bus in the morning? We will send a note home to parents of students that ride the bus.

Filling Board Vacancies
Mike Radis and Geri Weillacher

Update of By-Laws
Passed out during the meeting and they will updated at the next board meeting.

Cellular Telephone
We have one and it will be used for emergencies.

Expansion / Facilities
Should we expand and move to new facilities or should we stay small and stay put? This discussion will continue. What would really be involved in expansion.
