Budget
- Review of Budget (year-to-date)
- We are receiving our regular checks from the school districts.
- How should we present the budget? When there are budget changes it may be easier just to present as notes. Perhaps a page of notes that highlights important changes.
- How will the school districts audit CLC? We will hire an auditor that will check our books and help us make any necessary corrections. This will be followed by a state audit that includes books, attendance, etc.
- State College will not be able to take back any budgetary reserves.
- Next month, will create an original budget column and a revised (proposed) budget column.
- Perhaps we should deal with changes to this budget and next years budget in one meeting. Then we can revise as necessary during the year.
- For the next meeting, we will review the current budget. We will also have a proposed budget for next year. We will then have a meeting after about a week to discuss the proposed budget and make any necessary revisions.
- Look into subscribing to some magazines.
- Our revenues and expenses are nip and tuck, but we receive payments at different rates.
- Bottom line..... We are in good shape.
- Will we be able to get a loan given that we are only chartered for three years? We do have a nice relationship with Mellon Bank and they have been very helpful.
Personnel
- We are considering adding a secretary.
- We have approved the hiring of a half-time secretary.
- We may try and write in a full-time secretary for next year.
- New closers and aids. We did approve the hiring of two new closers last year.
- Angie is now working downstairs with some of our special needs kids.
- We may hire one more instructional support person to come and work with Mark.
- We will be hiring Sarah and Andy to come in and help Mark.
Other Business
- Should we help put kids that cannot get online get online.
- Reduced and free lunch should be used as the guideline for determining who can get connected.
- We probably should not try and balance by gender.
- Look into the possibility of having shirts made that would help identify the kids.
