Board Meeting 4/22/99

Call to Order: 9:00

Budget:

• We are in the midst of developing a long term budget.
  
• We might want to add more computers.
  
• Discussed the possibility of salvage computers and decided they were not worth the headache.
  
• We have one more budget presentation.
  
• Kyle presented four break downs of the budget.
  
• We are in good shape.
  
• We may need to come up with money for a new building, etc...
  
• We have another $26,000 that will come to us.
  
• Year-to-date, we are running at about 20% surplus.
  
• Our finances will get better as we get more students.
  
  

• Short Term CDs at Mellon Bank.
  
• We can easily move money out of that account after 6 days.
  
• We would like to take out $60,000 and establish a short term CD.
  
• The board agreed to do this.
  
• Let’s look into an interest bearing checking account.
  
  

• Take it home with you and review it.
  
• We will print it out on special paper so that it looks a bit better.
  
• Let’s have students design the logo.
  
  

• It might work to have it at the Friend’s School.
  
• Please check out the ideas and look into them.
  
• Let’s go ahead and set up an end of the year party.
  
• Malena will look into Tussey and othe possibilities.
