Still hiring after school teachers — 3 after school aides each day. Brian is looking for people with specific interests they are interested in running after school clubs/activities. All will have appropriate clearances. Brian is taking on the role of coordinator of activities, also doing tutoring with some students. Lori wanted to let Brian know that she does not feel strongly that after being in structured activities all day it is okay with her that they hang out in unstructured activities. Wendy stated that she observed several activities taking place at the same time, and that the new building is working well to facilitate different activities.

Audit not complete because of delay in paperwork/permission. Will be complete soon.

Monthly Budget Report — we have asked accounting firm to take over running of books. They have not yet presented the bid, but we expect it soon.

Questions raised regarding current balance, tuition reimbursement, utilities costs in new building

-- Wendy raised question about security in the building. We can look into obtaining a security system if desired. Anyone desiring to enter must go through 2 locked doors to get into building. Question raised regarding signs on building? Suggestion that we go ahead and post signs.

Giles suggested that the physical layout of the building might make it beneficial to install some kind of motion sensor system. Mark suggested that we discuss issue with insurance agent to determine possible tradeoffs

-- Discussed issue of splitting meetings. Teachers did not meet our charge to come to this meeting with a solution. Vivian wondered if the standing meeting on Thursdays makes it impossible for some people to make the meeting. There is some benefit to the consistency of schedule. Kyle will request input from parents.
