Grade 7/8 Lead Teacher
Dr. Mark Toci has been teaching at CLC since he co-founded the school in 1998. Mark holds Bachelor’s degrees in English and Adolescent Psychology, a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and a PhD in Instructional Systems from Penn State University. He has taught Math, English, and Special Education at Penn State’s Upward Bound Math and Science Center and high schools in Texas and Maryland. Mark has also been Assistant Director for the Upward Bound Math and Science Center and Senior Instructional Designer for the Link-to-Learn Project, responsible for developing tools that would help teachers across Pennsylvania integrate technology into their learning environments. Grade 7/8 Lead Teacher
Brian Rowan (a.k.a. Stewy) began teaching at CLC in 2002, and has been a member of the CLC community since the school's first year in 1998, serving as Administrative Assistant, Assistant Teacher, Server Manager, and ESP Coordinator in the school's early years. Brian is a graduate of Penn State University with a BS in Elementary Education. He currently teaches with Siobhan Lynam and serves as the school's "tech guy". Email Brian at: brian@clccharter.org.

Grade 7/8 Assistant Teacher
Siobhan Donnelly has been teaching at CLC since March of 2009 when she began teaching in the Specials program, as a substitute teacher and became involved in the Extended School Program. Siobhan holds Bachelor degrees in Elementary and Special Education from LaSalle University. Prior to joining CLC’s staff she worked as the Manager of Education for the PA Resources Council and the Philadelphia Zoo. Siobhan is eager to integrate her expertise in teaching students in regular and special education with that of working with our students’ families to provide students with the support necessary to have a successful school year. Amanda Dietrick became a part of the CLC staff in 2008. She graduated from Lock Haven University in 2007 with a BS in Elementary Education, with a minor and certification in Middle School Mathematics. Before coming to CLC, Amanda worked as a pre-school teacher, as well as a long-term substitute for CLC and Mount Union Jr./Sr. High School. Amy Riggs Weaver joined the CLC staff in 2005. She graduated from Lock Haven University in 2004 with a BS in Elementary Education, with an emphasis in Reading. She is also certified in ESL. Amy's interests include music, snowboarding, reading, art and antiques. Email Amy at: amy@clccharter.org. |

Grade 5/6 Co-Lead Teacher
Morgan Ilgen started working at CLC through the ESP program in 2002, and in 2003 she became the ESP Coordinator. Morgan began working as Mark’s Assistant Teacher in 2004. In the fall of 2009, Morgan received her M.Ed and her teaching certification in English.She also has a B.S. in Environmental Interpretation and Outdoor Recreation Education with a minor in English from Penn State University. Morgan began her role as Co-Lead Teacher with Kelly in 2011 in one of our 5th/6th grade classrooms. Morgan is also a Registered Tri-Yoga Teacher. Email Morgan at: morgan@clccharter.org.

Grade 5/6 Assistant Teacher
Kelly Kennedy came to CLC in 2001 as the ESP Coordinator, and became an assistant teacher in 2002. He earned a BS in Meteorology with an emphasis in Earth Systems from Penn State University and is a certified Middle School Math teacher. Special Education
Andrea Kennedy came to CLC in 2007. She earned her BS in Elementary Education at Ohio Dominican University and her Master of Education degree in Special Education from Framingham State College in Massachusetts. She has also taught special education in Michigan and Massachusetts. Andrea enjoys reading and playing the flute, and spends her summers traveling all over the country cooking for Drum and Bugle Corps. Email Andrea at: andrea@clccharter.org. |

Special Education
Deb Swartz joined CLC in 2003. She obtained a BA in Elementary Education and certification in Special Education at Lock Haven University. Deb has taught in the Keystone Central and Penns Valley School Districts and was a clinical teacher at the Meadows Psychiatric Center, where she worked extensively with emotionally disturbed students as well as students with learning disabilities. She enjoys hiking, jogging, and swimming. Deb has coached elementary basketball, and likes being with students in a role other than teacher. Email Deb at: deb@clccharter.org.

Extended School Program Coordinator & Specials Coordinator
Kathy Morrow has been working at CLC since the 2000, began coordinating the after school program during the 2006-2007 school year, and began coordinating the specials program during the 2007-2008 school year. Kathy has been teaching a variety of subjects in the Specials Program over her years at CLC, including Creative Writing, Baby Sitting, Martial Arts, Active Games, and Family and Consumer Science. She is currently studying Communication Arts and Sciences at PSU and plans to pursue a Masters in Teaching. Kathy is also involved in the local poetry scene, having hosted and competed in several Spring Creek Slammers poetry slams. She has published two collections of poetry, "On The Brink of Something New" (Holy Fool Press, 2004) and "The Lutz-Morrow Affair" (with Reggie Lutz, Eiderdown Press, 2006.) Business Manager
Kosta Dussias came to CLC in 2002. Kosta holds a BA in Economics from the University of Arizona, and has followed a wide range of interests and pursuits principally due to having lived in many different places in the U.S. and abroad. He has lived in Greece, Venezuela, Arizona, Illinois, Mississippi, and Pennsylvania, and has managed a factory, worked for local government, operated a business, and worked for a private school and a university. Through these jobs he gained valuable experience in budget development and general business operations, and the desire to work with teachers and parents with a vision for an exceptional learning experience for students. School Secretary
Melissa began working at CLC in 2009 as a specials teacher and ESP staff member. She graduated from Edinboro University in 2001 with a BA in Criminal Justice and earned a Masters in Liberal Arts from Lock Haven in 2008. Melissa is also a certified wedding consultant and works as a wedding coordinator for PSU, as well as owning her own soy candle business. Other interests of hers include playing flute in the Bellefonte Community band, traveling, scrapbooking, photography, and hiking. |
