Specials Program

The Centre Learning Community (CLC) Specials Program runs on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, 12:35 to 2:40 PM for three 11-week blocks throughout the school year. Students choose from 1 or 2 hour classes in Arts, Physical Eduaction, and other areas. Recent offerings have included Spanish, Fencing, Acting, Stained Glass, and Chess.

We are currently looking for instructors to teach Physical Education (games and sports), Cooking, and Music (especially Rock and Roll: drums, guitar, bass, and voice). We would also welcome inquiries from teachers in other areas.

Specials Teacher Qualifications

• Experience teaching/performing in the proposed subject area, preferably with middle school-age students.
• Love and respect for kids
• Interested applicants should email jen@clccharter.org with a brief description of what you would like to teach at CLC.
• Please attach a brief resume and two references. Employees must hold (or be willing to obtain) current Act 34 and Act 151 clearances when hired.
